BRASS

Overview
Many musical instruments are made out of brass – an alloy of copper and zinc – because of its acoustic properties and pliability. Brass is often used when a more economical replacement for precious metals is needed. Our brass prints are plated to look like 18k gold and can have the same level of detail as our silver and gold. A PU coating is added to provide extra protection to the plating.

Typical use

  • Fashion jewellery like buckles, hangers and bolo ties
  • Preprint test to form-fit the wearer before ordering gold or silver
  • Detailed miniatures
  • Sculptures

BRONZE

Overview
Bronze is an alloy of copper and zinc. Bronze is an affordable material for printing models in metal, especially architectural models. To protect bronze against tarnishing, a PU coating can be added.

Typical use

  • Fashion jewellery like buckles, bolo ties and hangers
  • Detailed miniatures
  • Sculptures

GOLD-PLATED

We offer Gold-plated and Rose Gold-plated brass.

GOLD

Overview
The material is a 14k or 18k solid high gloss gold, mixed with an alloy for hardening for longer wear. The entire jewel will be made of 14k or 18k solid gold, and is available in yellow gold, rose gold and white gold.

Typical use
For jewellery or as a store of value.

SILVER

Overview
Silver has very high electrical and thermal conductivity. It shines bright when polished and is very malleable. The quality of a silver model is comparable to that at jewellery stores. The material used is a solid Sterling silver, comprising 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of another metal, usually copper.

Typical use
For jewellery and ornamental items.

STAINLESS STEEL

Overview
Stainless steel is the cheapest form of metal printing as it is very strong and suitable for very large objects. Stainless steel powder infused with bronze is used to print steel models.

Typical use
Jewellery, functional parts, spare parts.

STAINLESS STEEL HD

Overview
High grade stainless steel (316L) delivers a significant level of detail and strength to your model. This makes it suitable for board game pieces, miniatures, key chains, jewellery, bolts and hardware, among other things.

Typical use
Small robust and decorative models like coins, medals, keys, statues and artifacts.
